The Catholic Counsellors' Professional Network (CCPN) exists to provide counselling professionals with support in their Faith, Church personnel, Priests and Religious, and Catholic doctors with increased confidence in making referrals, and Clients with an increased potential for authentic personal growth.



  • To clarify and integrate Catholic principles within the counselling professions, and develop and maintain the highest standards of professional conduct.  
  • To develop a Christian-based alternative to a purely secular orientation in counselling, drawing on the values of Christ and His Church.
  • To provide prospective clients seeking counselling, with the option of a Catholic understanding of the human person.
  • To maintain a register of clinically competent counselling professionals* working in harmony with Catholic Church teaching.
  • To provide a forum to discuss professional issues, in the context of the Faith, including cases and various therapeutic approaches.
  • To provide mutual support as Catholics. 
  • To maintain a faithful and comprehensive information base on faith and clinical issues within the counselling professions.
  • To develop and support the spiritual lives of Catholic counsellors.
  • To serve the fundamental needs of our clients.
  • To invoke God's assistance for the benefit of our clients.
